Europe in Berlin 2010

Course for trainers and teachers in adult education
September 19 - 25, 2010, Berlin
funded by the EU / Lifelong Learning Programme / Grundtvig

 

The core topic of our Europe in Berlin course is our identity – and identities – as citizens of Europe. Participants from different European countries will come together for the course in Berlin and will work with a German group in exploring these issues, using participative methods, theoretical input, discussions, joint reflection and artistic methods. In small groups, the participants will go out on excursions to look for places and people that incorporate their respective native countries and traditions in Berlin. During an art course the participants will work together to create a “European” assemblage.

Main objectives:

• To reflect on our identity / identities as citizens of Europe
• To increase our knowledge about Europe
• To experience and reflect diversity / intercultural aspects in Europe

The Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP) for European co-operation in the field of education and training offers in-service training grants to

• staff working in the field of school education (COMENIUS grants)
• or in the field of adult education (GRUNDTVIG grants)
• including former and currently unemployed teachers re-entering the profession after a period away from teaching
